Why parents love us...

Amazing value for money, not only working out to be cheaper than regular tuition, but also providing a 2 grade bump across the sciences, and 3 for maths! Me and Evan are so so happy!

The webinars were super helpful, we changed her revision tactics, study environment, and even diet – all these small changes made such a big difference!

The lesson recordings made the learning really flexible, and my daughter still uses the lesson notes to help her with the foundation of A-level. She is so much more confident now.

  • How involved do parents need to be in tuition?
Tuition is designed to be flexible, allowing you to be as involved as you wish. Whether you prefer to be hands-on by helping with homework, staying in regular contact with the tutor, or simply creating a supportive environment at home, the level of involvement is entirely up to you. Some parents choose to take an active role in their child's learning, while others trust the tutor to manage the process and only step in when needed. Our tuition service adapts to your preferences, making it as convenient and supportive as possible.
  • How does the program ensure the curriculum is up-to-date and relevant to current GCSE specifications?
Our curriculum is meticulously designed in collaboration with GCSE examiners from AQA, OCR, and EdExcel. We regularly update our course content to align with the latest exam specifications and teaching best practices to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • My child is nervous, is tuition right for them?
If your child is nervous, suffers anxiety or anything else which will cause them stress or concern that may adversely impact their learning, please let our tutors know in advance. We will get in contact to make reasonable arrangements, such as: Private Communication: During group lessons, your child will have the option to communicate privately with the tutor through the platform's chat feature. This allows them to ask questions or express concerns discreetly, without the pressure of speaking in front of others. Flexible Participation: Your child will not be forced to participate in activities that cause stress, such as answering questions aloud. They can take breaks or opt out of certain activities as needed, so they can remain engaged without feeling overwhelmed. Regular Check-Ins: We can schedule brief, regular check-ins between your child and the tutor outside of group sessions. This helps build a supportive rapport, allows the tutor to address any concerns, and ensures your child feels comfortable during lessons.
  • Are classes separated by ability?
Yes, our classes are generally separated by ability to ensure that each student learns in an environment suited to their needs. When placing students into groups, we consider their current academic level, the exam board they are studying under (e.g., AQA, Edexcel, OCR), and the specific subject level (Foundation or Higher). This allows us to tailor the teaching pace and content accordingly, helping students of similar abilities work together towards their goals while receiving the right level of challenge and support.
  • How are your tutors trained to engage and teach students?
Our tutors are a team of highly qualified and experienced educators who specialize in their respective STEM fields. Each tutor is selected through a rigorous hiring process that evaluates not only their subject matter expertise but also their teaching skills and ability to engage with students effectively. They are passionate about education and dedicated to fostering a supportive, interactive, and understanding learning environment. Our tutors are also trained to adapt their teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and needs, ensuring that every student can achieve their best possible outcomes. Above all, they are friendly and approachable, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages students to ask questions and express their thoughts freely.
  • What are the sizes of the class?
Our class sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure each student receives the attention they need. Typically, classes have around 3 to 4 students, which allows for a collaborative yet focused learning environment. We cap our classes at 5 students to maintain quality, though this can vary slightly depending on the subject. This small group setting enables personalized support while also allowing students to benefit from the dynamics of peer learning.
  • What does my child need for tuition?
For online tuition, your child will need a device with a microphone, such as a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer, to participate in live sessions and interact with the tutor. Additionally, it's helpful to have a pen or pencil and a notebook on hand for taking notes, working through problems, and jotting down key points during the lessons. These simple tools will ensure your child can engage fully and make the most out of each session.
  • How much do lessons cost?
What is involved: Small group tuition with qualified tutors Access to notes, resources, study sheets Weekly homework Interactive online platform Exam preparation Wellbeing support How much does it cost: If you are having only one lesson a week - £20.00 per lesson If you are having two lessons a week - £15.00 per lesson If you are having 3 or more lessons a week - £12.50 per lesson
  • What is your cancellation policy?
Any lessons cancelled before 24 hours of the lesson start time DO NOT have a cancellation fee. If a lesson is cancelled with less than 24 hours of the lesson start time, 60% of the lesson fee is applied as a charge - to cover for homework, resources, and other notes. If a student doesn't attend a lesson with no notice at all, the full lesson fee is charged. Full details are available in our terms of service.
